Mardon Meadow Monitoring: volunteer training

  • Vesper Meadow Restoration and Educational Services LLC 16534 Dead Indian Memorial Rd Ashland United States (map)

Join us for a stewardship event where you can learn about and help the rare and imperiled Kamath Mardon Skipper butterfly. Found only in the meadows of the Cascade-Siskiyou mountains, its populations have been dropping significantly over the last decade. We have been bringing partners together to address both land management and habitat quality issues for this unprotected species.

Learn to monitor threats to Mardon skipper habitat and identify key habitat plants for seed collection:

This is a collaboration with Vesper Meadow, Friends of Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument, and Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
